Surreal Angels

oil on canvas 22x16 cm

The Idea for this one was first inspired by "ukitakumuki's" creamy skys and then I noticed that the angels in some Northern Renaissance paintings had these stiff clothes, I think the painter at that time could'nt paint clothes exactly rigth so they ended up looking like they were made of marble or something anyway It looks beautyful so I painted some clothes with out the angels ;) (Wink)

Wow, I love it. Looks like ghosts under blankets. I have always loved that kinda stuff, where you can see the unseen through another object. Great! +fav

Drool Clap i never knew someone could be inspired by lousy skies... lol

:D (Big Grin) thanks for mentionin me! im so honoured ;p

anyway, its a great pic! a loss of environment, but makes up with the two excellently painted cloths ;p

I love this image....it looks like the angels are playing...

it's like a dream. an interesting piece, indeed. it's really nice but i'm noticing that the "angel" on the left doesn't have a shadow. you render fabric well and as usual your work is texturelly (is that a word?) successful. niiice.

ooooh, surreal. i love surreal!
the cloth looks real, yet it somehow does not look real. i'm not makin a whole lot of sense here, i know. and the one on the right looks humourus ;) (Wink)

Very nice. I love the colors, and how one of the cloth-objects casts a shadow, yet the other doesn't. The composition is a little bland though; one of the objects could have been placed differently, or made bigger or smaller.

the way the sky was done communicates a vast open space, as if one had an extra 25 degrees available to their periphial. You have a solid foundation in oils and I appreciate your vision.

Wow, that's beautiful. It reminds me a lot of some of Dali's work. Great job.
